Animals
living near the river bank.
Sun was setting in and in a deep
and dark corner of the banyan tree rabbit was sobbing and saying something to
his own self
“I want to protect my
friends, They will kill us all. What will happen to us? Who will save us?”
When he was muttering like that, there happened to pass a chameleon who
was a good friend of his. On seeing his friend sobbing, he
approached him and said in a husky voice
“What happened, my friend?"
"Why are you crying?”
Rabbit got scared on listening to
the voice as he was in a deep fear and scared. In
a very soft voice, he said
“We all will get killed. They
are planning to kill all those animals living near the river bank. They have a plan and are ready to execute that."
Chameleon got curious and asked, “Who is going to kill us?” "Who is coming and what is the plan that you are
talking about?"
“Pack of Wolves! Those ruthless sharp teeth killers” cried out a rabbit. and continued his words
"I listened to the talk
between them and a fox family. Fox family
have made a deal with the pack of wolves that
they will tell them hiding places of the animals living near the river bank and
in return, wolves will give them some
animals to eat after they will do their hunting.
Chameleon thought for a second and decided to call a meeting of
all the animals living around the area of the river
bank to discuss the problem and its solution.
Deer, bear, antelope, bull, zebra, orangutan
gathered on the ground near the river bank. All
over whispering and asking each other only one question.
“Why we have been called?”
Then Chameleon came, sit on the
highest branch of the banyan tree and informed them about the approaching
problem.
All got scared except the orangutan.
He thought for a second and hopped and sat beside the chameleon and said
“Don't be scare, my friends. I have an amazing idea with which we can solve our problem!"
Scared faces lightened up and they raised their ears to listen to the solution. After listening to the plan, they felt great relief and started preparation
for executing the plan.
Finally, as per the decided plan, all animals took their decided places, Orangutan on the banyan tree, Bear, and
antelope on the crossroad from where everyone used to enter the river bank area,
Deer hid under the buses on the way to the river bank. Their
work was to inform about the arrival of a pack
of wolves along with the Fox family. They supposed to give the silent single of
moving their head from left to right three times.
Orangutan was closely observing the deer and waiting for their
signal. To his surprise, he saw the signal and he hopped and climbed on the tree
where deer were hiding and he saw that pack of wolves were slowly coming and
were followed by fox family. They were coming near and near and bear and
antelope were waiting to execute their plan.
As a pack
of wolves was only 10 feet away, Orangutan
signaled bear and he started laughing in a loud voice
Antelope, “What happened, my friend? Why are you laughing?" You look so happy today.”
Bear laughed and said, ”Yes, my friend I am very happy today, as we are going to get rid of that ferocious pack of
wolves!
“What? It is impossible! No
one can defeat wolves or have the courage
to fight against them” Antelope said in a deep astonishment
“Believe me, My friend. I have heard fox family talking among themselves.
They have made a pact with the hunter who lives in a hut near the river bank.
The pact is that they will show them the hiding places of the wolves and in return, the hunter
will not hunt them and also give them delicious food of their choice.”
Wolves were listening to the
conversation and as soon as they listened to the conversation, they got furious
and stared at each other as if they have understood
each other's mind. They collectively pounced on the fox family, tore them into pieces and ate them. As they have listened, that hunter lives near
the river bank they decided never to go near the river bank area.
All the animals living near the river bank celebrated the occasion
under the banyan tree near the rabbit's burrow.
Later on, they lived a happy and peaceful life as they had no fear of getting killed by the pack of wolves.
