Queen of the sea who had not learnt to flee

1.    Mother's Turn

Julia, a young, curious, courageous girl wanted to explore the mountain on the opposite side of the river Halt. For the villagers it was haunted, taunted and forlorn. It was not the just mountain but the huge boulder of curse, destruction and doom. Since 100 years, no one had dared to go there and try to find out the truth of the words going on since centuries. Generations changed but tale remained the same. Julia was curious and wanted to go there, to explore the place whatever will be the case.

Julia went to her mother and said," Mother, O Mother, Will you come with me?"

"Where, Where my child?"  Counter asked mother kneading the dough.

"To the mountain on the opposite side of the river Halt!" said Julia pointing towards the mountain from the kitchen window.

Mother got scared, took her to bedroom and explained, "Julia, listen to me carefully that mound of sand, a huge conical stone, a mountain which mourns is haunted, taunted, and forlorn! No one has gone there since long. Your great grandfather used to say that his great great grandfather had gone there but never returned back. Since then no one has dare to go there! My child, never think of going there, it is not fair. Go and play with your friend that is the best thing for you to care!"

Julia said, "Okay" and left. She had not learnt to sit back and rest!

2. Father and Villager's Turn

Julia went to her father and said, " Father, O father, will you come with me?"

"Where, Where my child?"  Counter asked father, mending the car which have not gone too far.

"To the mountain on the opposite side of the river Halt!" said Julia pointing towards the mountain from the car window.

Father got frightened took her inside the garage and explained, "Julia, listen to me carefully that mound of sand, a huge conical stone, a mountain which mourns is haunted, taunted, and forlorn! No one has gone there since long. Your great grandfather used to say that his great great grandfather had gone there but never returned back. Since then no one has dare to go there! My child, never think of going there, it is not fair. Go and play with your friend that is the best thing for you to care!"

Julia said, "Okay" and left. She had not learnt to sit back and rest!

Julia was very curious, with a question in her mind she went on, visited each and every person of the village to get a companion to explore the mountain. Person changed, age changed, language changed, but answer remained the same. At last, Julia the impeccable girl, decided to go there alone and find out the truth of the haunted, taunted, and forlorn mountain!

3. Queen of the Sea

Julia set in the raft and crossed the river. She saw the mountain. To her it did not show any sign of being haunted, taunted, and forlorn. She climbed, climbed, and climbed the mountain. When she reached at the top, she got surprised and amazed. On the other side of the mountain, there was white pure beach and big, blue sea. It was the place which to her no one has seen. Being happy and cheerful, she went down the mountain, ran on the beach and went to the shore to dip her legs into the warm foam of the waves. She played, bathed and relaxed on the beach. When she became hungry, she drank the coconut from the coconut trees. There were many flora plants, she took some flowers and in the form of crown put them on her head and proclaimed, "I am the queen of the sea, who have not learnt to flee."

From that onwards, on a regular basis she went there and ruled the land till she got married. As after marriage she got busy and had no time to get dizzy, she gave up the idea of going on the mountain and ruling the island.

4. Emily's Wish

Time went on, she became a mother and her daughter was Emily.

One day Emily came to her and asked," Mother, O mother will you come with me?"

"Where, where my child?" replied Julia cleaning the floor.

"To the mountain on the opposite side of the river Halt!" said Julia pointing towards the mountain from the living room window.

Julia smiled and replied the reply given to her by her mother, father and all the villagers years ago.

Though she was knowing the truth, she was not interested in revealing the truth. She thought if like her Emily is truly curious and determined to go there, she will definitely go there alone.Like her if she does not listen to everyone's wise advise then  she will  not sit back and rest and climb the mountain to become the  'next queen of the sea, who had not learnt to flee'
