Meright- the savior
Once upon a time there was a village named enlightenedpur. The name will give you the feel that it had many saints, sadhus, yogis who had attained enlightenment, but it was not of that kind. It was totally inverse than your guess. This village like other was bestowed with natural resources: A permanent river flowing through the village, fertile land, forest surrounding the village etc. It had all the things that human require to live a prosperous life.

All the citizens, though were illiterate and poor, were of the feelings that they have all the wisdom of the world. They were very proud about that. The reason of their pride and happiness was their sarpanch who was the king, leader, masiha of the village.'Meright' was the sarpanch, king of the enlightenedpur. Since 100 years, his family was ruling the village. Before him, his forefathers ruled, now Meright is ruling, and after him his son 'Meright' is ready to sit on the throne.

Meright had kept all the affairs of the village in his hands. He was the centre of the administration. Nothing can be done without his consent. He had made all the villagers believe that they are living a prosperous and happy life only because of him. For villagers he was the God. Daily in the evening, villagers used to come to submit their earnings of the day in the courtroom of the Meright. He used to sit on the high throne and villagers used to take turns and submit their earning at his foot.
Farmer entered the courtroom and exclaimed," Long live Meright, out Masiha! This is today's yield. It is 5 kg of spinach. Accept this and blessed my family and me!"
Meright smiled and took a look around and replied, "Meright is very happy with your devotion and loyalty. As a gift take 1 bunch of spinach as a token of blessings for you and your family."
Farmer got very happy and took his seat in the common place.
This way, turn wise, blacksmith, goldsmith, labourers, barber, mechanics and businessman came and submitted their earnings and in return got some part of it as a token of blessing from the Meright.
Once all are done, they used to do the community prayer. Prayer was written by Meright himself.
"Meright is our savior.
Meright is our God.
Meright is our blessing.
Meright is our freedom.
Meright is our happiness."
Entry of Welfare
Everything was happening as usual daily. One day a boy named 'Welfare' happened to pass from the village. He was travelling since many days and that made him tired and exhausted. He thought of staying in that village for some days and rest their .He went to village guesthouse and rent a room.

As he had time, he took round around the village and observed his proceedings. He was very intelligent and observant. He was the advocate of freedom and freewill. He always believes in welfare for all. He observed how Meright his ruling and fooling the villagers. He decided to help villagers and bring the revolutions in the village. He went from door to door and talked with them. He talked about how things are going in other places and how Meright his fooling them and taking their earnings without doing a single work. He urged them to stop giving their earnings to him and keep it with them. He used to say he is tyrant, taking advantage of you and your family members. Be aware, rise against tyranny and dethrone him and be free and live life of free will.

Reaction of the villagers
All the villagers collectively decided to gather in the village common ground to discuss the matter.
Farmer said, "That fellow says, that I should keep my crop with me.No need to give it to Meright.Who will explain him that in my land on account of the blessings our leader. It his blessings which helps crop to grow. Because of him, cattle get strength to work on the field."

All were listening and nodded their head in unison. They all were agreed with the farmer. Businessman was very excited and waiting for his turn to come. As soon as farmer he rose and spoke as if he has last chance to speak in his life.
"You are absolutely right farmer. I do agree with you. I too believe it is Meright's blessings which attracts customers to my shop. Otherwise I had nothing if had not been blessed. That Welfare says it is my earning and I should keep all with me. How can anyone say so?"
Anger was taking his place in the mind of villagers. All rose and started shouting in Unison "Liar, Liar, Liar"
Blacksmith took the podium and said, "He is the friend of Meright's enemy. He wants to harm our God, our savior. We will not let that happen. We will fight for our masiha!"
All started shouting, "Long Live Meright, Long Live Meright!"
They went to Guesthouse and asked Welfare to live the village at the current moment. They collectively threaten him and asked him to never come back to their village. Welfare understood. He started leaving the village.
He muttered to himself, " He cannot help those who themselves have accepted helplessness as a virtue. He cannot help those who themselves have accepted slavery as a freedom. He cannot help those who themselves have accepted poverty as a prosperity."

As soon as he left the village, they did their community prayer.

"Meright is our savior.
Meright is our God.
Meright is our blessing.
Meright is our freedom.
Meright is our happiness."
